HALL Industries has developed a superior Accumulator System that solves the problems experienced with most torque type units.  These advanced HALL systems are designed for Payoff or Takeup applications, and can be manufactured for new installations or retrofit on existing lines.

• Balanced design provides bumpless, continuous operation with optimum dependability.  There is no appreciable change in tension when shifting reels.  On some other systems, the product clamp is applied while the product is moving causing a surge in tension at reel change and defect in the product coating.  The HALL Accumulator System applies the product clamp after the product has stopped.

• The HALL Accumulator System is microprocessor controlled for increased flexibility and reliability in matching its operation with the line.
  
  

• This system makes it possible to run smaller gauge wire because the Dancer, not the Accumulator, controls the tension.  In addition, the Accumulator can be supplied with additional sets of smaller sheaves.  For example, the 20-inch Accumulator can accommodate 6-inch or 9-inch sheaves mounted outboard.
  
  

• Immediate cable supports are positively positioned to eliminate troublesome swing out arms and limit switches.

• All sheaves provide years of use and will not damage product.
  
  

• Installation can be wall, floor, or ceiling mount.  Dual units are also available for multi-conductor applications.
  
  

• Standard models are available in size 6-inch to one meter, and lengths are 500, 1000, and 2000 foot capacity, with longer units available.

The MGS / HALL Vertical Accumulator, both Payoff and Takeup, fills a real need on applications requiring up to 650 feet in capacity while providing constant uniform tension.

Our Vertical Accumulator has an aluminum trolley block operating on ball bearing slides.  The trolley block and sheave assembly are counterweighted.  The tension is provided by a magnetic particle clutch, which provides smooth operation throughout the speed range.  This system does not have the sticking effect you can experience with air cylinders.

The Accumulator is supplied with a non-contact sensor providing a 0 to 10 volt output signal to control the Payoff or Takeup.

An air operated product clamp can be included to hold the product during changeover.
